1. Prepare Your Tools

  • Ensure you have a video editing app like CapCut installed on your device.
  • Gather all recorded webinar footage and any additional resources you might need for editing.

2. Initial Editing and Transcription

  • Import your recorded webinar video into CapCut.
  • Use CapCut's transcription feature to generate a text version of your webinar automatically.
  • Review the transcription to identify filler words (like "um," "so," etc.) and long pauses. Remove or edit these for a smoother flow.

3. Edit Content for Engagement

  • Go through the transcription and video to remove any repeated sections or errors.
  • Use the transcription tool to click on any word, and the video will start from there, allowing precise editing.
  • Delete unwanted sections by selecting the words or segments in the transcription.

4. Create a Flattened Video

  • After editing, export the video to create a flattened version. This step is essential for adding transitions and effects later.

5. Add Transitions and Effects

  • Import the flattened video back into your project.
  • Explore the effects and lighting options in CapCut, such as "leak" or "flare," and drag them onto the timeline where needed.
  • Identify sections in the video that require transitions, such as starting a new topic, and split the timeline at these points.
  • Apply transitions to these splits to enhance visual engagement.

6. Generate and Edit Captions

  • Use CapCut's caption feature to generate subtitles. Ensure they match the spoken content accurately.
  • Review and correct the captions for any discrepancies or errors.
  • Select a text style for your captions and apply it consistently across the entire video.

7. Enhance with Text and Visual Hooks

  • Consider adding text overlays for significant sections or topics using CapCut's text tools.
  • Apply animations or effects to text for additional visual interest.
  • Position the text accurately on the timeline to match the spoken content.

8. Review and Finalize

  • Watch the entire video to ensure all edits, transitions, and captions are correctly applied.
  • Make any final adjustments to transitions, captions, or text effects.
  • Export the final video in the desired resolution and format.

9. Share and Utilize

  • Share the edited webinar with your audience, ensuring it aligns with your webinar schedule or promotional plan.
  • When sharing, use timestamps or manual markers to help viewers navigate the content efficiently.

By following these steps, you can effectively edit your recorded webinar to enhance viewer engagement and convey your message clearly.
